With a proven track record of leadership and professional advancement, Mr. Leonard Jones has excelled in his professional journey. Being promoted five times to higher, more demanding positions with increased responsibilities, Mr. Jones currently serves as the Souring Manager for Sprint’s Procurement and Real Estate Organization. He is responsible for negotiating and managing Sprint’s Travel, Fleet, Do Not Call/Email and Corporate Card projects that total more than $250 million annual spend. Leonard has been a manager for more than 7 years and an individual contributor for more than 20 years for a total of 27 years with Sprint.

Leonard graduated from Grambling University with Bachelor in Science Degree in Computer Science. He then received his master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Webster University. He holds the lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager certification.

Leonard has been a Grandview, MO resident since 1970, and was elected as Mayor in 2014. Leonard oversees weekly Aldermen meetings and provides the City Administrator and Department Heads direction in overseeing the $39 million annual budget. He has served Grandview and surrounding regions for numerous years in an array of capacities including and not limited to: Grandview Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, President of the West Gate Division of the Missouri Municipal League (MML), MML Nominating Committee, representative for Jackson County on the Executive Board for the Metro Mayors Caucus. Mayor Jones is committed to service and building a strong, vibrant community.
