Marisa Crawford Gray, Director of Career and Workforce Development at Kansas City Kansas Community College, impacts hundreds of students, community and business members each year. She models leadership both in the community and the campus of Kansas City Kansas Community College campus. Her mantra and focus is on the success of students and community engagement. These priorities mirror the theme of the 2016 celebration, “A Legacy of Struggle…A Commitment to Justice and Equality.”

A current scholar in pursuit of her doctoral degree, Ms. Gray is studying and developing a mentorship model that will identify and educate leaders for the future. She received Master of Science in Management Degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of General Studies from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Marissa’s involvement in the community is truly making a difference as she speaks to workforce development and educational opportunities. Ms. Gray has a strong interest and passion to make a difference for individuals who need a voice and an opportunity. She shares her time and talent with several community Chamber organizations, The Employment Consortium, United Way of Wyandotte County, MidAmerica Minority Business Development Council, Kansas City Harmony, Kansas City American Society of Training and Development, Girl Scouts of Mid Continent Council-Troop Leader, Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
