A key member of Metropolitan Community College – Penn Valley campus’ executive team, Mrs. Tarana Chapple develops implements and coordinates a variety of instructional programs, including Career and Technical Education programs for the Penn Valley campus and Health Science Institute. Serving as the Associate Dean of Instruction for Metropolitan Community College (MCC) - Penn Valley campus, she provides leadership by supervising and providing guidance for staff of five departments, coordinating special projects and new initiatives, and participating in college and district committees. Additionally, Mrs. Chapple is accountable for reviewing and controlling budget expenditures for the campuses Perkins allocation, Enhancement Grants, and her assigned departments.
Tarana holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hampton University and a Master of Arts in Education Degree from Seton Hall University, where she was awarded membership into the International Counseling Academic, and Professional Honor Society.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Chapple has a consistent track record of contributing to the community. Her contributions extend far and wide and include: coordinating and implementing the delivery of dual credit, early college programs, and related pre collegiate initiatives, serving on numerous Advisory Boards - Prep-KC Health Science Academy, Summit Tech Academy Advisory, Grandview High School Project Lead The Way Health Academy and Jack and Jill of America.
