2. Job Summary

Designs, implements, and measures employee development programs to drive employee engagement and performance. This includes providing coaching and consultative services to staff and management, developing courses based on strategic needs, and providing consultation or leadership to high priority objectives.

3. Key Activities

* Consults with department management to assess, diagnose, and analyze business unit training and development needs. Recommends, develops, and/or implements responsive solutions such as targeted training, meeting facilitation, strategic planning assistance, team building exercises, etc. Monitors progress and documents results to ensure achievement of objectives and customer satisfaction.

* Coaches staff and management in the development of leadership skills or other competency areas. Facilitates a process, through one-on-one or group interactions, in which the customer establishes goals and assumes accountability for results.

* Provides input into, and assists with, organizational talent management high priority objectives in order to drive employee engagement and performance.

* Provides individual performance and career development counseling services to employees. Manages all aspects of performance improvement plans including assessing issues and concerns, designing and implementing the plan, and evaluating the impact/results of actions.

* Administers assessment/measurement programs and tools, such as 360 Degree feedback and StrengthsFinder, by providing process overview and instructions, conducting assessment/measurement, evaluating results, providing follow-up coaching or counseling, recommending or developing action plans, providing additional resources, etc.

* Designs, develops, and facilitates Bankwide training seminars/ courses that are driven by the strategic needs of the Bank.

* Completes department and District-level project work of moderate complexity and priority.

4. Supervision Given/ Received

* Works under minimal supervisions, with general instruction for new assignments.

* Handles moderately complex issues independently, but predominantly consults with senior staff or supervisor on the most complex issues.

5. Specific Characteristics

6. Requirements

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in organizational development, training, human resources, industrial relations, psychology, or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience.

* One to three years of strategic instructional design experience required.

* Three to six years of training delivery experience required.

* Three to six years of organization development/consulting experience required.

* Certifications in multiple training or coaching programs, such as Seven Habits, StrengthsFinder, Developmental Dimensions International (DDI) preferred.

* Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail programs.

* Strong leadership skills including the ability to oversee/influence project teams and discussion groups.
